Terms of use

These terms apply when you use UraWise. UraWise is operated by [Legal name of the operator — your name as sole trader, or the company name], [Postal address], [Country of the operator] (“we”). By creating an account you accept these terms.

1. What UraWise is — and isn’t

• UraWise is a tool for homeowners and the contractor they choose to agree on a renovation, track it and keep a shared record of it.
• UraWise is not a party to the agreement between a homeowner and a contractor. The two of them decide the terms, and are responsible for them and for the work.
• UraWise is not a marketplace: we don’t find, vet, rate or recommend contractors, and a Passport is a record of projects on UraWise, not a certification or guarantee.
• UraWise doesn’t handle payments between homeowners and contractors and never takes a percentage of them.
• Approvals in UraWise are recorded with a timestamp. Whether they count as a binding agreement depends on the law that applies to you; UraWise doesn’t give legal advice.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give correct information. Contractors use UraWise for their business.
• Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• You can delete your account at any time under Account. See the privacy policy for what happens to shared projects.

3. Your content

• What you add — texts, agreements, photos, files — stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and show it as needed to run UraWise: to the other party on the project, and publicly where you choose to publish (such as a Passport).
• Only add content you have the right to share. Don’t add anything unlawful, misleading or offensive. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Prices and subscriptions (contractors)

• Homeowners use UraWise free. Contractors can use UraWise free with 1 active project at a time.
• The contractor plan costs €29 per month or €290 per year. Founding offer: the first 100 contractors who subscribe pay €19 per month for 24 months from the day they first subscribe, including if they cancel and subscribe again within that period. After that, the standard monthly price applies.
• Prices include VAT where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and paid periods are not refunded except where the law requires it.
• If we change prices for existing subscribers, we will tell you at least 30 days before the change.

4a. AI writing help

AI writing help is optional. Everyone gets 10 AI requests a month free; the contractor plan includes 300 a month. Unused monthly requests don’t carry over. AI packs (100 requests for €5) are one-off payments, never expire and aren’t refunded once used. AI suggestions can be wrong — always check them before saving.

5. Partner program

• Anyone can share UraWise. Earning money from referrals requires an application and our approval. Pioneer Partner places are limited and given at our discretion.
• Earnings are calculated from what referred users actually pay, after VAT, payment fees and any agreed running cost, for the agreed period, and become payable after the hold period shown on your partner page. We pay out manually.
• Being a partner is a commercial referral arrangement. It gives no ownership, shares or employment in UraWise. You are responsible for your own taxes.
• Referring yourself, fake accounts or misleading promotion void the related earnings and may end your participation. We may change the program with notice; earnings already earned are paid according to the terms that applied when they were earned.

6. Fair use

Don’t misuse UraWise: no attempts to access other people’s data, disrupt the service, send spam, or use it for anything unlawful.

7. Availability

We work to keep UraWise available and your data safe, with backups, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve or change features over time.

8. Liability

• We are not responsible for the renovation work, the agreement between the parties, or disputes between homeowners and contractors.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or €100 if you use UraWise free), and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Ending

You can stop using UraWise and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

10. Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of [Country whose law applies], without taking away mandatory protections of the country where you live as a consumer.
